EchoStar Reports Third Quarter 2011 Financial Results

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS) today reported total revenue of $863 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, a 42 percent increase compared with $607 million for the corresponding period in 2010.

EchoStar reported net loss attributable to common shareholders of $19 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, compared with net income attributable to common shareholders of $5.2 million during the corresponding period in 2010.  Diluted loss per share was $0.22 for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, compared with diluted earnings per share of $0.06 for the corresponding period in 2010.
